Helix 9 Flow Control Facility

Project Background

The project demolishes the existing Helix 1 Flow Control Facility (FCF) and constructs a new Helix 9 Flow Control Facility. The existing Helix 1 FCF on the La Mesa Sweetwater extension pipeline was built in the 1940s and has reached the end of its service life.

Replacement will include new piping, larger new facility, valves, and electrical and controls equipment.

These improvements will continue to provide reliable service to Helix Water District and the R.M. Leavy Water Treatment Plant for many years to come.
